Plates with Amaco Ink & GR Slumpies

Service Description

Discover how to print on clay using AMACO Printing Inks with artist and AMACO teacher Kathy Skaggs. This workshop will feature demonstrations and discussions covering a range of silk screening methods—from simple HTV vinyl silkscreens to more complex designs using light-sensitive emulsion sheets, ideal for a variety of images. Explore both direct methods of silkscreening onto clay and indirect methods using newspaper transfers. After printing, learn how to construct dinnerware plates from your freshly printed, moist slabs with GR Pottery Forms’ founder Jeff Rottman using his new Slumpie forms. Each participant will receive two forms to take home. Open to all skill levels. Tuesday October 21st 10am - 4pm with 1-hour lunch break (lunch not provided) $90 per person, includes clay, firings, and 2 GR Pottery Slumpie forms.
