Microwave Raku Workshop

Service Description

Join us for a Microwave Raku Workshop! In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the exciting process of firing small ceramic pieces using a microwave as a kiln. Participants must bring their own bisque-fired work (maximum of 2 pieces), made from raku-safe clay and pre-glazed with raku glaze. To ensure safe firing, all pieces must be no taller than 3 inches and no wider than 3 inches so they can fit properly inside the microwave kiln. Please be prompt, we want to go over safety and directions prior to the firing! In order for your firing to be successful, you must use Raku clay for your pieces. For your safety, please wear cotton long pants, cotton long sleeves shirts and closed toe shoes. Please bring protective eye wear. $40 per person *No experience needed
