The shell rests on a ceramic fiber base with steel stand. The QuikFire is rated to 2000°F. It fires on 120 volts and needs no other heating source. At only 1560 watts, it uses less power than many hair driers. To see how your work is progressing, tilt the shell up an inch for several seconds. Read temperature at a glance with the built-in pyrometer, which indicates when to start watching the ware inside the kiln. You can make projects faster with two or more shelves.
