The Viking-28 is a 10-sided 3” wall digital kiln specifically designed for extra heavy-duty firing and high temperatures. It features sectional construction. Separate the kiln bottom and section to repair bricks, change elements, or to move the kiln down narrow stairwells or through the narrowest doorways. Twist-lock spring latches hold the assembled collars securely. All Vikings are digital and feature the Sentry 12-key controller, easy access switch box, 1/2 amp internal fuse, and LiteLid. In addition, they use heavy-duty mercury relays which outlast the standard mechanical contactor relays by a wide margin. The Vikings have power to spare. They are 14,400 watt kilns and fire on a 70 amp, 240 volt circuit. Built in UL/CUL compliant high amperage fuses protect the kiln and circuit wiring.
